OK i know I've asked this already but everyone is talking about pre-calculus, what on earth is pre-calculus? I was advised to take Maths IIC because it's easier, is there anyone who can clarify this for me? Also is there like any UK students who can tell me which one of the two IC or IIC is the closest to the AS Edexcel Maths syllabus in the UK.

IIC, not because it is easier, but because it is more impressive, and more curvaceous--if you know what I mean ;)

Math I is much too easy, and also, pre-calculus is a course taken before Calculus. But even if you have taken calc, IIC is still the better choice.

Pre-Calc typically covers elementary functions (including polynomial, exponential, logarithmic, sin, arcsin functions), trigonometry (circles, ellipses, hyperbolas, trig identities) and complex numbers.
The best way to figure out which test to take is to take two practice tests.
As you are aiming for Harvard, I strongly recommend IIC.

Yeah, precalc is maaaaaaad easy if you take calc, it is like the fundamental blocks of calc. Precalc is to letters as calc is to words. And then after you know the words, you can write sentences, then write paragraphs, then essays, then short stories, then short books, then HUGE books, and then when your einstein, you can write long textbooks and encyclopedias. Oooofff, I am bored.
