A cousin of mine is taking the his SAT IIs in November. For engineering, he needs to take either physics or chemistry along with Math II. He has only taken a regular high school course for both of those subjects. Which would be easier to study and receive 700+ with little time?

Chemistry.. he just has to cram... and the course is less.

physics...the curve is just so huge...and 700+ means u only need abou 65-70% right.

Any other suggestions?

Basically he wants to know, which would be easier and faster to learn, basically from scratch since he's forgotten most of the material?

Keep in mind he's taking SAT IIs in November.

chem is easier to cram for

My brother was failing his school chem courses (that's how little he studied the subject... we have a freaking large book in 12th cbse), he took the Princeton Chem book and got 780. In less than 2-3 weeks.

I'd suggest he try taking a practice exam in each subject & see how he does & what he thinks of the subjects in both books. It's tough for any of us to know how well he would do in either subject without knowing him.

He took chemistry two years ago, and he did take physics last year. However, he was better at chemistry. He doesn't really remember the subject material for either.

Any other suggestions?

do what HImom says, take a practice test from each and see which one he does better on.

I'd do physics, I never paid attention in that class, june came and i studied for 2 weeks out of Kaplan, and got a 740.
