I’m planning to prepare for SAT II physics over the summer and I aim for an 800. I have my school’s physics textbook, Barron’s, and Kaplan. Are there books/sites with realistic practice tests? Also: do you have any tips for an 800 on physics? Thanks!
What kind of physics classes have you completed at school? In my experience with my son, the Princeton Review Physics Subject Test prep book was probably the best.
I’ve covered most of the material over the past few years (Except for nuclear and quantum physics) but I really need to refresh my memory because, for instance, I’m not so flexible with power right now,
The test does not really go into much depth on any subject, but does cover a few subjects not normally covered in physics classes in high school. Again, I would review the Princeton Review Physics Subject Test prep book cover to cover. In ranking of difficulty, my son found: Kaplan < Actual SAT Subject Test < Princeton Review practice tests. The key to a 800 is to make sure to cover all the topics in your study and to make sure to practice doing the problems fast (you have 75 problems in 60 min).
@billchu2 thanks for your very helpful reply!
