Hi everyone!
I’ve never taken a physics class in my life, and I was wondering how hard the material in the SAT II Physics test was!
I don’t want to take the test if I can’t get at least a 750+, and although I think the test might be fun (just because I’ve never taken a physics class before), I’m still nervous about the amount of studying I might have to do.
In October, I’m also taking Bio M, but although the last time I took a bio class was 9th grade, bio just comes…easily to me, so I know that with a relatively decent amount of studying I’ll (hopefully) be fine.
My previous SAT II scores, if that provides some frame of reference - 770: Chem; 780: Math II; 800: WH.
Thanks to everyone who helps!
The curve is rather generous. I think you can get about 10 wrong (out of 75) and still get an 800. I left about 3 blank and probably got 4-5 wrong and got an 800,
It’s possible if you focus every single day from now on, for at least an hour. I took AP Physics 1 (understood material, got a 5) and began studying for SAT Physics in mid March (I took June SAT). The AP Physics 1 curriculum onyl covers half of the topics so I only really had to study half the material.
Good luck!
@noobforce does the test cover ap physics 1 stuff?
okay, sounds good! hmm. i’ll think about it - i do have a physics book/workbook that a friend gave me, although it might be a physics c textbook. xD thanks for your input!
any other opinions?
Yes. But not in conceptual detail. Mostly formulas.
@noobforce what prep books did you use?
Just Barron’s @legalpad12
But I also used some (maybe about 5) cracksat tests for additional practice tests.
