SAT II Prep

I'm going to be retaking Math II & possibly Physics this November (680 & 600 respectively). I completely bombed these 2 in June, seeing as I didn't study at all, and now I'm regretting it. (I was really surprised about Math though; I thought I had otten at least a 700). So anyway, How do you guys prep for science/math SAT IIs? Is 2-3 months adequate time to thoroughly prepare so that I can walk out of the testing room feeling extremely confident?

2 to 3 months are more than enough if you had studied maths and physics in your high school. Prepare from princeton review and try to take as many practice tests as you can. Good luck!

I dont know about Math subject tests, but I got 790 on Chemistry and 800 on Bio M after studying for 3 weeks with Barron’s. I did not take Math and Physics one, but I heard that if you are very strong in Precalculus & Trigonometry areas, you can easily score above 700 on Math II…

I am currently studying for Math-II subject test…Ellipse and Conic secions really baffle me up…I am not a math-oriented person anyway…

2-3 months is more than enough if you know up to pre-calculus, trig, and a little statistics. I scored 800 on math II with no prep whatsoever. As long as you work fast and don’t make silly mistakes you can easily get an 800.

I kind of screwed up on Physics…took AP Physics C - Mech the year before taking SAT Physics, and didn’t take E/M. So I took the test w/ very little E/M knowledge. Still scored a 740…

Go with Barron’s for math? It overprepares you, but that makes the actual test seem much easier, and you’ll be more relaxed. Math II is mostly algebra, so just make sure you practice a lot.
