I took the Math II before summer and I scored a 740. I'm not very happy with this score and I know that I can do better. However, I've heard that retaking SAT subject tests doesn't look good for college. Recently, I realized that I could just take the Math I instead of retaking the Math II. Is this advisable, or should I just retake the Math II?

No reason to take the math I with a 740 on math II. I guess you could retake math II if you are applying to a super selective college as a math/engineering major. Otherwise I would leave it alone; it is a great score!

Bump, I’d like some more opinions on this please.

There’s no point in taking Math 1 when you already have a very good score in the Math 2, it won’t help IMO.
