SAT II Question

Most colleges now require two SAT IIs. I’ve taken two thus far, Bio and USH with scores of 620 and 740 respectivly. Now, if I take the Literature SAT II and get a high score (720+), will colleges simply look at my two best or will they take all three into account?

You should probably retake the bio to get over 700 if you want to go to a competetive college.

I would say that it varies. They might say that they only use the top two, but they see all of them and so it matters to some degree. It isn't so formula driven. You are judged in different categories such as legacy, URM, athlete, international students, geographic location, and VIP's. Within the category, you are then judged first on the difficulty of curriculum, then on gpa/rank, and then on standardized test scores. After that you are judged on EC's, essays, and recommendations. For the extremely selective schools, they have five almost identical people for each slot. Minor differences in gpa and SAT scores are much less important than being able to stand out from the crowd in your EC's and essays. Try to develop a hook to differentiate yourself from everyone else.

You should check which SAT II's are required. Sometimes they require one of the Math SAT II's.
