Hi all, I have not done any SAT tests before and have got the 2 math ones in 12/7.

I was wondering what is the best calculator to use, I currently have casio fx-991ES but I am aware many other people have TI and reccomend them.

Also when you get to the centre, how do you fill out your aswers, like you do bold the letters or circle them for math.

I know quality prevails over quantity but is throughlly revising from the Barrons and Princeton books enough to warrant a good grade.

And is it true that to get 800 on the first paper, you need 50/50 where on the math 2 it is usually 43-44/50 as a minimum.

And does anyone have any past papers or links to .pdf files of them, please.

Any graphing calculator that you’re familiar with is sufficient. From searching, it seems like you have a scientific calculator. Theoretically, it should be enough to score an 800 if you know what you’re doing, but I recommend getting a graphing calculator, not just for the SAT, but for any higher level math or science classes you wish to take. I used the NSpire and did just fine.

The math subject tests are multiple choice, so you’ll be bubbling your answers. And yes, math II seems to have a more lenient curve.

It does not make sense to take both Math1 and Math2. Do a few practice tests to see if you would better off with one test or the other. Also, many engineering schools and science major would prefer Math2 score.

Bubbling in as in, you have five circles corresponding to the answer choices and you fill one of them in (make sure you completely fill one).

I agree with billscho, it’s best to take either Math I or II, not both. You can freely switch out a subject test with another without notifying CB (although, if you take 3 subject tests, you’ll be charged extra).
