My D is pretty sure she wants to do an ED application. The school requires
New SAT + 2 SAT IIs by November 15 . She has done Old SAT plus US Hist and Writing.

She will do New SAT in October. But Writing is not really a second SAT II under the new system,so she will need another SAT II. She can do a foreign language SAT II on Nov 4. If she immediately faxes her web copy of the result to the college, it would probably arrive by Nov.15, but the official score report would come later. Do you think this is likely to be a problem? Should she bring this up at her interview to take place in August? She grew up abroad and is bilingual--so her ability to speak a foreign language is thoroughly documented anyway.

any chance she could meet next week's testing cycle as a standby? She would likely ace the foreign language sat subject test....

btw: score reports go out pretty quickly, and you could rush it (for more money, of course)

Many ED schools will let you know what is the latest SAT sitting they will accept. If they say November, you don't even have to rush the results. Look at their application material to see.

It wouldn't hurt to take one on June 4th as standby. If she didn't like the score, she can still take one in November and rush the scores in time.

Since she's bilingual, taking the language standby might work. You will have to check to see if 'with listening' is offered in June, if she is interested in that variant. It's always better to have these things in the bag early, than have to depend upon being healthy for the last possible testing date.

I would just call and ask admissions for the latest testing date for an ED app. Chances are that the Nov date will be fine without rushing scores.

Many of the language tests are only given once a year, in the fall. The SAT II schedule can be a problem for those who want to take the more off beat language exams or world history.

Does anyone know where the SAT II schedule for next year can be found?

I spoke with school my S is interested in for ED. They said latest SAT date for ED app is November and scores should be rushed. Might be diffeent for each college so why don't you give the school a call and ask them.

Thanks for all your responses. Unfortunately ( in this respect) , D is away on a two week class trip to Rome and environs so cannot take the SAT for June. The new schedule for 2005-6 is available on the Collegeboard site:

Thank you, but I'm looking for a chart that shows which tests will be given on which dates--for example, is world history only going to be given in December again, or will it be available on the other fall dates? The timing on Latin and Italian are also an issue for us. Guess I need to call the CB--a task that strikes dread in the heart of any parent, CB being so inept.

I am assuming the distribution of tests over dates will follow the same pattern as 2004/2005. BTW, Collegeboard does also respond to e-mails!
