SAT II ------- risk or no risk?

i just took the SAT II USH test last saturday and i kno i did not do well on it, maybe 600ish. i didn't prepare for it at all even tho i took APUSH.

i want at least about 750 or so. so i'll be retaking it. but i'm not sure if i should cancel the score. i'm afraid that colleges won't like the score when it send them two years from now. or do they not care as long as the final score is good?

any comments on what i should do? i wanna go to an elite college if that helps.

Why risk it? Just cancel and do better next time.

usually a poor SAT II score will not make or break your application.

^ so what would u do?

I don't think you should cancel your score. See what you get, and if you don't like it, study and take it again. It's good to show improvement. Plus, a score in the 600s is not bad. I got a 630 on US History and got into Penn.

pretty generous curve on USH

actually i think it'll be more like barely 600. high 500 or just plain 600...

i omitted like 22... :(

I had kind of the same situation as you. I did miserably on US History, but then I took some more SAT II's at a later date and did well. Penn only require 2 SAT II's so they (supposedly) only look at your top 2. By the way I got in even with my poor History score.

yournamehere: Cancel it. I think the deadline is over...-.-...

lol the dead line was lastnight. but i sort of decided not to cancel (altho i wasn't 100% sure) cuz i guess it'll be good to show improvement. next time, i'll find a new way to study and just actually sit down and study (if that makes any sense).

thank you guys for your imput tho
