How much higher do sat II scores for engineers generally have to be (at Princeton, or otherwise?) would a 740 in math II be considered "too low" for someone applying as an engineer? Also, how many subject tests do we have to send to p-ton?

While there will be a lot applicants with Math level 2 scores of 780-800, I expect some with lower scores will be accepted. Hardly a definitive answer, I admit, but it’s my best guess. Good luck.

Do you only submit two or can you submit more if you’ve taken them?

You can submit all you like. K1 submitted 4.

How’d you guess? No lie, I got the exact score you said above for Math 2 and I was accepted this year into BSE. There’s no real cutoff but IMO, 750+ is pretty safe, if it’s possible to attain. The extra essay about why you want to do engineering at Princeton I assume also carries a lot of weight on your application as an engineer.

I submitted 3 subject tests: Math 2, Chemistry, and U.S. History, just to round out everything, but 2 is the minimum.

@aymiusa you just made my day! hehe congrats on your acceptance! What kind of engineering are you planning on studying?

@bioninja I applied for Chemical Engineering, but I just switched out of the BSE program and I want to major in plain old Chemistry or in the humanities. Summer’s not over yet, so who knows! I might change my mind again :)>-

@aymiusa That’s super cool. What drew you towards ChemE above all of the other engineering subjects?
