I thought so, and I'm far from a native speaker.

It was like, "It's snowing outside, you should wear your-----."

A) Storm
B) Snow
C) Boots
D) Rain

Pffft. If I don't get an 800 I will be surprised.

I believe the hardest question was the one which asked about the tone of the piece (the passage with the talented dog).

was the answer to that one humorous?

thats what i put but i have no idea.
was the one about how the dog was viewed by his dog companions something like "comportamiento de un adulto" also did the dog take adavantage of his position as a guard dog? (aprovecharse del cargo)? and was one of the answers ventanillas?

Yes, it was the ventanillas.

hey guys, what level of spanish are you currently taking? Cause I am in 3 and I was wondering if I could actually manage to get a good score on that.

It was humorous. (for the tone)
I thought it was ridiculously easy for what my opinion matters but I'm not super sure. Do you know what the usual curve is for the spanish subject test?

gabs...i see your from orange county...whered u take it at? i took it at villa park

I was at Calvary Chapel in Santa Ana.
O.C.! :)

o nice...i think the curve is like u can miss 4 and still get an 800 bc of all the native speakers

fingers crossed I guess we'll see what we got May 22! :)

i thought it was the hardest out of the 3 tests i took.
well spanish is my 4th language so i have an excuse but still...the dog reading was pretty hard. and the one with women or whatever too.

but compared to AP spanish language tests, its mad easy.

ya thats true. dog reading was really confusing. only thing that really confused me on the test.

The Princeton Review book, along with some other books I saw, had 2 wrong as the 800 cut off.

what? it was an easy test?? i wish i'd taken it...

For 85, did you put people who are interested in opening a business? Isn't opening a nursery opening a business?

And for 84, did you say una beca? The questions asked what would one receive if they did the ad, but no choice said training so I said beca (scholarship).

Did you put "cuando naci, ya" ESTABA or ESTUVO? For the short fill in the blank passage about the Ford?

That was definitely more difficult than the practice tests I took. I wish I took it in November with listening.

And for the passage about Juanito and his brother, it called the girl Juanito used to dance with (Marena or something) his "media novia" so for the question which asked who is Marena, did you put "una chica de Portugalete"? Because that is where they danced and no other choices made sense.

so i took the spanish with listening last november and i got a 770 which i think is embarassing. I got a perfect score on the reading part but then on the CD part i forgot to pay attention (cause i was reading the ques instead of listening to the advertisement) and i messed it up.

so should i take it again in june (w/o listening) and shoot for the 800
or do u think i should leave it alone or maybe take the listening again in novem cause ill kno to listen then

kapwatt: it was opening a business, beca, and "el amor de Juanito," because she wasn't Portugalete, she was from somewhere else (it said). I'm not sure about the other one but I put estaba.

Seriously, I almost broke out laughing during the test, it was a joke!

Yes, she wasn't from Portugalete, she was from Erandio.

I think the options for the tone question on the dog passage were:
a. Laudatorio
b. Humoroso
c. Melancolico
d. Didactico

I'm still having trouble accepting humoroso as the answer. The passage wasn't in a humorous tone in my view.
