How many years of high school Spanish is about right to get a 650 on the test. I really would like the get a foreign language requirement out of the way during high school.

bump.......?

bump?? Not even one answer....

I got a 630 on the test and I took AP Spanish Language this year...and got a 5 haha. It really isn't about how many years you've taken, it's really about what kind of stuff you do in class. If you do a lot of speaking and writing, it's kinda tough. If you do a lot of worksheets and strictly tenses I think it should be much easier. I know kids that are amazing with tenses and understanding the context that have only taken 2 years, and I suck at it after 4 full years of it. Try some practice tests and see how you do.

Hi,

I am a non-native speaker and took the test sophomore year. I got an 800 (perfect score), but that's after years and years of intense study outside of school.

Honestly, if you feel comfortable, give it a shot. But if you don't like Spanish, you'll have a huge headache during the test.

Casey

I finished AP span lang (so i think 4 yrs?) and i got a 780 on a diagnostic (from collegeboard's official book)

yet again i got a 4 on the AP

I personally thought 3 yrs would be enough b.c in AP span lang i didnt learn any new grammar.. just did lots of essays, short stories, listening and speaking excercises which arent necessary for the satII
