<p>I am having a hard time deciding between taking the Molecular Biology SAT II or the Math 1.
I am taking the Chemistry for sure on May 5. </p>
<p>If it helps, I want to major in biochemistry and I am applying to a number of top-tier schools. Also, does anyone know which test is easier per say? I don't have much time to study and am probably taking it in May or June :/</p>

<p>You should start checking the sites of colleges to which you might want to apply. The reason is that some which require or recommend SAT IIs may want a math and science as the two submitted if majoring in science or engineering. Moreover, some of those, such as CalTech, the UCs, and Stanford want that math to be math 2 not math 1 (in fact Caltech and the UCs do not accept math 1). A simple rule: if you have math 2 and chemistry, then you don’t have to check anything; those two will meet the SAT II requirements of any college that requires or recommends two SAT IIs. If you take math 1 or just two sciences you may be losing the ability to apply to some schools for biochemistry.</p>
<p>In any event a math (and not just science) is highly recommended if applying for science or engineering and you should also consider possibly doing the math 2 rather than the math 1 particularly if you are already into pre-calculus or calculus in your math sequence in high school.</p>
<p>Well I am applying to Princeton, Brown PLME, Georgetown, etc. and their websites say any two SAT subject tests…I would take math 2 but I don’t have enough time to prepare to get in the 760+ range that I need.

<p>Be aware that Georgetown, which highly recommends but does not require SAT IIs, is one of the two colleges in the nation that wants three SAT IIs (the other is Johns Hopkins)</p>
