Due to the weather, there’s a good chance that the SAT II I have scheduled for this Saturday might end up getting pushed back. Needless to say, I’m worried. I’m applying to transfer to several fairly selective universities, and their applications are due March 1. I wanted to do well on the SAT II’s, since my current institution did not require them, but many of the ones to which I am applying do. If the test date is pushed back to mid-February, then how will I be able to get them my scores in time (by March 1)?
As long as they accept January scores, do not worry. They will know, and weather events such as snowstorms are not within your control.
@MITer94 Most of the universities I’m applying to don’t list the last test dates they accept for transfer admissions. However, the ones that do so permit January SAT testing, and it stands to reason that if the application deadline is March 1 and January SAT scores would have been available in mid-February, such scores would have been accepted. So…I guess everything’s going to be okay?
What about Cornell? They don’t say they “accept” them but that if they get the scores in the time they will consider them. They also said that they usually get scores on time but do you think they will take my subject test scores? (It got postponed to Feb. 20th )
Feb. 20 is too late for seniors. The scores won’t arrive in time. The only way it would possibly be helpful is if you were put on a waiting list somewhere, and the college agreed to look at the new scores. But if I were you, I wouldn’t even take a Feb. 20 test.
Talking about transfer admissions here.
