I took the ACT with writing and got a score that I am very happy with. BUT I also took a couple SAT II Subject tests that I wasn't very happy with. To be specific, I got a 720 in U.S. History and a 640 in Literature. Will Penn care at all about my SAT II Scores if I have a good ACT score? I did get a 36 in reading on the ACT so I would think that it would cancel my bad Literature score.

I don’t think it would necessarily “cancel out” your SAT II scores completely, but having a high ACT score would certainly provide a large boost. You should be fine, even if the Penn admissions readers can see your lower scores.

Thanks! It doesn’t seem like a lot of colleges require all scores like Penn does. I already sent in my scores but I wonder how they would know if a student didn’t send in all their scores. I bet that some students haven’t sent all of their scores in.

It’s not worth it to risk not sending all scores in because Penn already superscores anyway. They just want all scores because they don’t want kids claiming they got a 2300…on the fifth time they took it.
