I'm disappointed to say that I got a 720 on both the Math IIC and the US History SAT IIs in June. The 720 is very low for the Math IIC, percentile wise. This worries me, as the only other SAT II that I have is a 730 in Math IC.

I want to apply to Harvard next year, not so much because of the name, but because I genuinely like the school. I'm just not sure if my SAT II scores will cut it. Oh, and I'm asian so SAT scores on the lower end of things doesn't help either.

So, do you guys think I should retake Math IIC in November (I'm retaking the SAT I in October)? Or is it generally not a good idea to retake an SAT II if you get a 700+?

I really appreciate your help, I feel so despondent right now.
Thanks.

I'm not an expert, but from what I've heard, percentiles aren't so important for SAT IIs. The important thing is to demonstrate a high level of competence in a subject area. Anything 700+ should be fine.

True. Do you guys suggest taking another SAT II? I have three subject tests, but two of them are Math, so it doesn't exactly show the "breadth" of my knowledge. I may take Lit and retake IIC in November. Is that a good idea?

Ahh i really need advice on this!! please help!

I'm curious for an answer to this question as well. I'm in a similar situation: 730s in World History and Literature (never took courses for either). Should we retake or no?

Myabe, if we think we can aim higher. I mean, with Math IIC, I KNOW I can definitely get an 800 coz I took it in June on somewhat of a whim. But idk if it's really worth taking it again since it doesn't exacly make sense to take an SAT 2 more than once.
