SAT II Trouble!!

The other day i got my scores for the SAT II. They were the following:

Math II: 670
chem: 570

I'm really worried about the chem score. Even my math is horrible enough but still the chem is really horrible. Here is my situation:

i was suppose to take the may 3rd sat but I had to hospital and recieve surgery. I miss two weeks of school and i had to retake my APUSH exam which i was still not ready for the second time. Truth is i was really prepared to take history subject test in may but because of my surgery i couldn't so i took chem in june. Will the colleges understand my situation? Is there any other alternative i can do like taking another different subject test? how bad are these scores?

thanks in advance.

well colleges do understand life crisis and stuff
i personally know a guy who went to Princeton with mediocre grades. In his essay for his app, he explained that his father died and his academic career suffered because of it and i guess the guys at Princeton were sympathetic
i would retake them in oct if you have time (i don't know if your going to be a senior)

^yes i'm going to be a senior. I was actually going to write my essay about the experience. But I'm not sure if I want to explain to them all the chaos it caused for me. I don't want them to think i'm making excuses or asking for pity....

on the other hand i can show them i'm not making an excuse. I worked hard all semester long and pulled off a 4.5. So I could of done better on the SATs if I took them in May....

i think the guy didn't write an essay completely about it but he did mention it because it is a legitimate reason
i'm sure you'll be fine
i know you are pressed for time with the only test date left in oct
if you're not taking anything else...i would advise you to retake it to show that you can do well
i'm sure you'll be fine even if you can't because it seems like your other tests are good
