From my friend's experience, he said that some questions were the same. I'm guessing that the AP questions (which in my opinion would be harder) are the 5 (rated hard) questions. Plus there isnt any essay. I assume that the SAT one is easier, since it is testing at a high school level. But who knows

personally, i think the SAT II questions are much easier and different. They provide you with more information concerning the answer such as people/events/places.

This make sense, considering AP is testing knowledge at the college freshman level while SAT II is testing the average high schooler.

That's what i thought too, but my friend said some questions mirrored each other. Since there is a rating system (1 being easiest, 5 being hardest), i think some 5 rated questions are from the AP exam. I took some practice questions, and some are pretty hard too

if u think about it, the ap is really easier even thought the questions are harder. The grading scale out of a 5 rather than an 800 makes it seem that you got a higher score.

That's true. But i think a 5 is hard to get? My teacher told me i got what is equivalent to a 4 on my final last semester, and i scored a 65/80 i think. Man what is a 5, 70? I've never scored that high lol

The largest difference for me is that the AP Test focused on theory, ideas, political thought etc.. The SAT II was based more on just spitting back facts such as dates, names, ACTS, etc.. My APUSH teacher did not have us memorize basic fact so the SAT II surprised me. I did well but wished I would have focused more on straight memorization.
