SAT II United States History

A progressive tax is an economic term that refers to the fact that the percentage people pay goes up as their income increases--graduated income tax. A regressive tax is one that people with lower incomes pay a higher percentage of their income compared to those with higher incomes--sales tax.

^i don't even remember that question

ugh i already have six wrong
at which point should i cancel if i want to go to an ivy?

I'm almost certain that Progressive was capitalized...

^no. like -8 is an 800

^doesn't matter lol. it was the beginning of the sentence

well that's just a little bit confusing

A graduated income tax would have been something the Progressive Party would have favored anyway.

oh and what did all the europeans try to do with the indians? i said it was make alliances or something

it's either that or exploit traditions/culture for their own benefit. i went with the latter, the english and spanish did not try to ally themselves with the indians.

edit: below me

yeah, that's what I put too...the other ones didn't really make sense

I had that they adopted some of the Indians' culture or something along those lines

yeah alliances as well

i also put alliances for that question

and also, if you guys paid attention to politics you would've gotten graduated income tax. Obama is all about that kind of stuff. thats the only reason i got that question (because of politics)

anyone want to make a list?

btw, progressive was 99.9% sure lower case. i read it like 5 times to make sure.

will somebody do a compilation of all questions?

what about the brigham young/benjamin rush question with who would be oppose women's rights? i can't find concrete evidence on either one

Brigham Young had 55 wives, that probably doesn't help the argument that his views were inline with those of the women's rights activists

Which one was the Soviets greatest military asset after WWII (truman)?

I initially put Army but then I changed it to advanced technology...although at the last minute I ended up ommitting it... Didn't the Soviets lose the most soldiers during the war though? And sputnik was Eisenhower?

Benjamin Rush advocated for women's education. The answer is Young
