Sat Ii Us Hist/chem

Which would be easier to self study for in a relatively short period (this november for ED)?

I've taken IB chem and have a small grasp of U.S. history from 8th grade. In 11th grade last year I learned U.S. history up to the civil war.

I'm thinking that U.S. history would take more time, but is more relaxing to study, and chem might take less time but maybe it would be more difficult for me to self-study it. The topics we covered in IB chem were the bare minimum for the IB SL exam, so I know that i'm not adequately prepared for the SAT II.

oh yeah, in either one i decide to take, my goal is 700+

Chemistry definitely. Chem SAT II is fairly easy, at least from what i see from the Princeton Review guide.

Yea, chem is my guess, especially with IB knowledge. I got a 5 AP US, but only a 710 on the SAT...I thought the US Hist SAT 2 was pretty hard.

i heard the the PR guide is easier than the real thing

so then if i take chem, i have 6 weeks left, what is the best book to study from?

(mcgraw)

(PR, the reviews are shaky)

the mcgraw book looks interesting. anyone have experience with any of these?

Well, the tests suck. But the contents is good enough to prepare with.

Princeton Review is good for preparing only, not the practice tests. Kaplan is great too, but its to vague and detailed IMO. I have both books. In 6 weeks, I think PR is the best choice since Kaplan has more pages to study lol.

what does "IMO" mean?

alien, did you take the real sat ii after prepping with just PR?
