SAT II Us History question

Im taking us history and i got the barrons book. I keep scoring really low and history is my best subject. What is the scoring scale for it from the old tests?

bump!..............

I hear you ElCommando, I want to hear other people's opinions too. From my own opinion, the SAT II US History Barron's book is way too difficult in its practice tests. They seriously seem AP style if not beyond the AP difficulty. Do not get discouraged, if you are taking the AP US History exam and pass with a 4-5 you should have no problem getting 750. Lets hear some opinions from maybe some seniors.

I have the REA book ap test...do I really need to go buy an SAT 2 History book also..I don't really know if I can afford anymore. :-)

oh man thats good to know vu_preuss I was really worried. Yeah does anyone else have an opinion?

Haha, now that you mention it, I'm getting sort of worried too ElCommando. I'm probably going to register for Math II, Physics, and US HISTORY this week for the June SAT II. Barron's has been discouraging me. I want to hear something from someone who has taken the test (SAT II) already. There actually is another thread that was just made, so you should look into that (it's like SAT II US History vs AP or something).

Can anybody answer this for us?

The fact about test preparation books are, the questions on the prep books are always harder and more specific than AP questions. They are designed to really prep you for exam so you would know every detail, not necessairly tailored exactly to the test. When I took Peterson's practice tests, I only answered about 3/4 correct, and after I took several old AP exams and scored about 85%~90%.

Does anybody know what the curve is like for the exam on average? There are 90 - 95 questions -- how many can you usually miss to still get an 800?

Nevermind, I went to Google and found my answer. According to SparkNotes, you can usually achieve a raw score of 82 (if there are 90 questions) to still earn an 800, but, of course, this varies a little from test-to-test.

hey green i scored 1/3 which is 30 out of 90....
