i took the course a year ago
just asking how hard is the SAT II
does it ask specific question or general?
do we have to write any essay?
because i'm thinking studying it over the summer and take it in oct.
is this a good idea?

SAT II history has general and specific questions, and it usually has LOTS of surprises, (i.e when I took the may test there were MANY questions after 1980 which no one expected, this was contrary to what happened in june, where there weren't many questions after 1980 as I have heard from test takers). So yeah, basically study using Sparknotes, review the key terms, I hear princeton review is good too, I used solely sparknotes and got a 710. No you do not have to write an essay, it's only multiple choice.

EDIT: Last important thing to mention, the curve is VERY generous on the SAT II US History test, you can basically omit about 7 with 0 wrong and still get an 800, so make sure you think about that while taking the test and reviewing. Also, make sure you go over economic, social, and political issues. Basically, while you are reading these review books by Princeton Review or Sparknotes, try not to skip over stuff that you feel is history jargon, it will give you a better idea of the time period and it may even pop up on the test, the test is not solely key terms, it does have lots of trendy stuff. In other words, if you are going to study, study the whole book.

ok
thanks a lot for the information ^^
