what does terrible mean ?

good to hear it greenbay

probably mid to upper 600s

dude...ziggy...lets be serious...a 740 sucks

If it was a 750 I would settle with that...but its a 740 or <.

89th percentile isn't that bad, but it may not be good enough for top tier i guess....

I understand completely that you are disappointed with <750; I'm disappointed with my performance, too. But if I were you, I wouldn't cancel.

First, no one is really 100% certain how you did. You may end up possibly doing better than 750. The curve may be more forgiving. None of us know.

Second, I don't think even the Ivy league schools are going to reject you outright with less than a 750. If you get a 5 on your AP History (I'm assuming you took it), send that in as proof that you are strong in history.

i think a 740 sucks a 750-760 is good nothing special and a 770-800 is really good. With that being said, the curve is going to be harsher, because most AP USH students took it this time around.

more opinions on why I should or shouldn't cancel ?

In general, I'd say it's up to you, man. Do what you want, not what some HS kids tell you to do :).

stupid 60 second rule.

What would you do ziggy?

I wouldn't cancel, I'd wait it out. There have been tests I thought for sure I did terrible on but the scores came and they turned out alright. And even if my hunch that a got a 740 was correct, I'd just retake it, b/c I'm going to retake math anyway.

do you people expect the curve to be harsher...the same...or easier than normal

how bad does it look to retake sat2s?

MED, don't cancel.

Although I didn't take the SAT II USH, last year I was in the same position as you. I had taken the SAT II WH, with zero study for the test (although I had just taken an intense year of AP WH), and coming out of the test I didn't feel too hot. I made a list of all the questions I knew I got wrong, and I had like 9 or 10 wrong that I knew of for sure. I debated canceling, but eventually curiosity got the best of me and I decided not to cancel them, even tho I expected 700~750s.

Two weeks later, I got my score, and it was an 800. So don't be too sure that you did badly. Anyways, if you look at a lot of the HYPSM forums, and look at the stats, PLENTY of kids had 700~750 SAT II scores. So I wouldn't worry too much.

but dude....i KNOW i got those wrong ... all the questions have been compiled...

we are actually still missing about 8
