So I took the SAT IIs in May and got 730 Chem and 690 US History. I wanted better
scores, so I retook those tests in June as well as Math II. I got 800 Math II, 710 Chem,
and 660 US History.

I want to apply to selective Engineering schools, but I know these scores are not going
to cut it. Can I superscore my SAT IIs, or will colleges see my bad scores in Chem and
US History? Should I just retake Chem, since most engineering schools only want Math II
and a science?

Umm, yeah they will see your bad scores. I would retake chem because chem is highly essential for engineering. Your math score is fine so just retake chem and aim for a 750+. Good luck!

Will it look bad to colleges when they see my 660 US History and 710 Chem, even if I retake Chem and get 750+? What if I don’t retake US History at all? Is there a way to hide that from colleges?

Score choice applies to subject tests, do some research on that option. You should definitely hide that USH score, but I don’t really think the chem one’s that bad unless you can do better.

I could probably do better, the only problem is that most of the schools I want to apply to require applicants to show all of their scores. I don’t want to take Math II again, but then colleges would have to see the 660.
