This is our chance to redeem ourselves from the mess that was the AP test lol. What's the difference between the questions in the AP test and the questions in the SAT test?

I have a big book of practice tests, I just took the one in World History and got a 71/95. From my experience, it is very similar to the AP questions…I probably got around the same percentage on the AP exam. There are, however, a few more identification questions or things of the sort(if you know the term involved it is an easy answer…if not, they’re going to mislead you). Also, the scale for World History is extremely generous - mine was a scaled 770. Hope this helps - your preparation for the AP exam won’t go to waste.

What would you say is the cutoff for an 800? And what’s the best way to study for it? Should I just re-read the entire textbook :P?

@wynter
whoa it’s THAT generous?
if 24 wrong questions is 770 whats 800 then?

if only the real sats were like this lol.

SAT2 World History has A LOT more questions on European history…I was shocked( but there is no SAT2 European History so I can see why).

the cutoff is like -15 for an 800

I’ll be taking it myself come this Saturday morning. Self-studied the AP exam, usually was getting around 75% of the M/C on practice tests. Took a practice SAT II WH and got a 770.

Though I have to say, I did little prep for APWH, and am predicting that I’ll be winging WH Saturday as well. Though I really want an 800 haha!

Ugh I’m getting low 700’s on these CB tests(my guessing sux… I was 1/8 when I narrowed the questions down to 2 answers…), but I read some posts saying that the CB book tests were harder than last years people went from like 680 to like high 700’s I think… I thought WHAP questions so much easier…plus, I wish there were essays on this Subject test

I got a 5 on AP World last year. I planned to read the Ethel Wood book again for the SAT II (that book is brilliant) but I procrastinated, and as it stands I am halfway through.

But the curve is absolutely ridiculous, so it will only be due to a catastrophe that I get a 790. Be jealous, CC.

can you guys guess the score I’ll get on Saturday?
PR-730, 750
CB-710, 740

^ you’ll probably get low 700’s-750?

why are the PR and Barron’s practice tests so hard? Like they cover really kinda obscure-ish information that I didn’t even hear before or in class! If that’s how hard the real SAT WH test is like, then I’m majorly screwed :C

Holy shiat. I had to rush the last 10 questions because I only had ten minutes left :P

The test seemed pretty easy…i guess all that cramming yesterday paid off for me

Holy cheese that was hard. Rushed the last 10 questions in 10 min

Anyone know what the answer to the last question was? I didn’t really look at all the options and just chose the option about voting rights for non aligned nations :P

Um… ***? This test was so much harder then the released ones and all the practice tests I took. Ended up guessing on a lot and left 8 blank. When can we post questions and go over answers?

That test was insanely hard. I got an 800 on the practice test but I left 10 blank and guessed quite a bit.

Why college board, why?

Hahaha gotta love it. I didn’t get an 800 on the practice tests but I think I’m gonna keep my score anyway. Hope for the best.
