SAT II World History Self-Study

I took World History Honors last year and AP European History this year. My teachers consider me an outstanding student in both classes, and it's not like the courses were the easiest ever to exist.

Would you recommend me taking the SAT II Subject Test this summer even though I've only taken the honors course and that was only last year? Would I do pretty well if I studied just (for example) the Barron's SAT II World History workbook?

I’ve always loved history and read way too many books and encyclopedias and I got 770 without any preparation for the World History test - so, yeah, do it. It’s definitely possible to do well without preparing for it. However, be prepared that there will be question on topics that are not that “interesting” - Africa (even pre colonisation), Australia, Latin America (not interesting for me since I’m from Europe) etc. Also all the historical eras are covered, so it’s better if you know a little about everything, than be an expert in one or two areas…
