SAT II World History!!

I'm self-studying for my SAT II world history exam in June.

I'm a junior, but I don't take history right now. (taking all sciences)

I have a Kaplan prep book and some people on CC are saying that this book sucks :S

Is it true? I'm aiming for 800

I think its pretty unlikely to get an 800 with no background in any history using just Kaplan’s. It’s a pretty brief book. I found Barron’s AP World to be more helpful, but maybe not so much so that it would be worth buying it after you already have Kaplan’s. Unfortunately, I don’t think there’s any book out there for World that’s like AMSCO for US or MEH for Euro, which are both more in-depth.

My suggestion would be to just read through Kaplan a couple of times and take a practice test and see how it goes. If your score isn’t good enough to the point where reading Kaplan again would be helpful enough, then pick up Barron’s.

Okay, thanks!
I did take the diagnostic test a few hours ago and got a 700.
