*SAT II WORLD THREAD JUNE 2016*

Didn’t think there was one yet! What are you guys doing to get ready? Did you take AP World? (I self-studied AP World, my school doesn’t offer it. I took regular World this year though, so it wasn’t too bad)

I’m taking the test in June as well. I’m hoping for an 800, and I got a 760 on the second test by the college board in the book for these two subject tests.

What resources are you guys using?

Took AP World class and test, think I did pretty well. I took a Barron’s practice test and got 17 wrong without studying :(((( I really wanted that 800 because I excelled in the class and I love history. I will study as much as I can. And does anybody know if there is a curve in the Barron’s book? What score is -17?

@MattyCRaps Only 17 wrong without studying? Wow. As for the score, that’s an 800.

I’m also trying to get an 800, and on the last practice test that I took, I got a 760. Since then, I purchased the Princeton SAT World History book and I have been studying.

Are there any tests online that have a curve on it? I feel like the Barron’s was waaaay too easy and I think -17 wrong can’t be a perfect score?

Or are there any harder tests than Barron’s? It seemed really easy and maybe it was luck. I just want to make sure I get an 800

Barron’s tests are much harder than the normal tests. The questions in Barron’s (at least some of them) are more specific than the questions found in the actual tests.

Oh wow! So would you say the actual test is closer to the questions from this years AP exam?

@MattyCRaps For practice questions, look on the college board website.
https://subjecttestspractice.collegeboard.org/practice/sat-subject-test-preparation-world-history?practiceTestSectionIDKey=Subject.WORLD_HISTORY

I personally think that these are easier than Barron’s. I have the official practice tests for U.S. and World History, and those questions also seem much easier than Barron’s.

@TP2000 I also got a 760, haha. Barron’s questions are pretty hard compared to the real deal, I think.

Silly question, but are the college board examples going to be the most similar to the test questions? vs. Princeton review and Barron’s?

And I got 3 wrong out of the 22 questions given. Can I convert that to 95 questions which would be -13? Or should I not assume that I would get that.

If it would be -13, that would be an 800 right?

Hey all! International student taking WH and Latin next week. My last practice WH test I took, I had a score of 760. My goal is to also get an 800, so I’m prepping a lot.
Im more worried about Latin, as I had ~700 on the last latin practice test I took, but I want to score around a 750 ^^
I never took AP WH, as my school doesn’t offer it, and as I am from Europe, we only had European History. I mean like, we never even talked about Chinese, Japanese, Southamerican, or Indian history ^^ So I’m reviewing that a lot, as I think I’m fine when it comes to Europe.
Oh btw, I really recommend watching the Crash Course videos on youtube ^^ I am a visual learner, so watching those videos helps me a lot in learning.

@MattyCRaps With your previous scores I really don’t think you have to worry about getting an 800 at all.

I was somewhat disappointed when I checked the college board website and found out that our subject test scores won’t be coming out until July 21st. In previous years, the scores came out around June 21st.

What do you guys recommend when it comes to prepping the last week before the test? Like, when you have already prepped a lot, but still want to do something in the last week ^^ I already heard that it is not recommended to take a full practice test the day before the exam?

hey guys did you take the test? how was it? i think it was really easyy

@sattaker99 I’m on my way to taking it now

@sattaker99 glad you thought it was easy though, hopefully it’s the same for all of us :)

@snavea good luck hope you will find it easy too

My life is over. I didn’t even finish. Should I cancel scores? I got up to question 80 when they called time…
