SAT II Writing required for 2006 applicants?

Is the SAT II Writing test required for 2006 applicants who will be taking the new SAT (with essay section)?

<p>No. It will be discontinued prior to the introduction of the new SAT in 2006.</p>

<p>Moreover, most schools that used to require the 3 SAT II's will not only require 2 SAT IIs (since the former II writing test has been incorporated into the SAT I).</p>
