I took the SAT II Writing when it was still offered last year, and I got a 700. I also took the Lit test, so that means I have two SAT IIs. Will Penn still accept the Writing score or does it not count now that it’s on the SAT? If they don’t accept it, do I have to take another SAT II before a certain date? I’m applying ED, so I’m confused.

Better call their admissions office and ask--make sure the answer is not already on their website. At my D's schools old Writing no longer counted.

I'm virtually certain that you have to take one more SAT II. The new policy states that they will take the new SAT I(with writing) and two additional SAT IIs. Previously, three SAT IIs were required, including one in writing, so either way, you need one more. For ED I believe you can still take the November SAT IIs as long as you rush the scores to them. Better check on that to be sure, though - just call admissions.

I called Admissions and asked re: SAT IIs. My S took the new SAT I,
SAT II Writing, SAT II Math, and SAT II Lit (which could be higher).
They said SAT II Writing would not count as one of two SAT IIs since he took the new SAT I.
