^ Harvard has required SAT Subject Tests for many years, and the 2013 decisions thread does show Subject Test scores. Today is the last date accepted.

Where is it stated that Harvard recommends three?

This is from Harvard’s website.

“Harvard requires applicants to submit the results of either the SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT with writing component. All applicants, must also submit the results of two SAT Subject Tests. The Admissions Committee continues to consider test results in light of students’ educational opportunities.”

Two are required. It doesn’t say anything about recommending three

So homer, did you not take the tests today?

Yes I did, but for another reason I was booted and did not take the second. I’m a bit disheartened, especially after some ill responses in another thread, however after speaking with a neighbor/harvard alum/family friend, he said Harvard will in no way cancel my app over a error. If Harvard issues an acceptance to me, they obviously want me - I don’t think they’re going to throw someone they want out because of one subject test. :(

So then where does this leave you?

Sorry but I would imagine that most Harvard alums don’t have a significant understanding of the admissions process, especially since it has probably changed to some degree since that person applied.

Emphasis added, but it’s pretty black and white.

Oh, you are the same guy… lol.

(I think with 35 000 apps they will use any excuse to get rid of people who can’t send them what they need…)

The other thread is much more fun :(

Obviously you wouldn’t be accepted to Harvard with the way you think, even on this level. Would you reject Bill Gates as a guest professor at Harvard because he did not have a pen with him, or reject Obama’s daughter because she did not take a physics course, or reject Jeff Immelt from a meeting because his suit was clashing? Bye

You seem to have a hard time grasping the concept of “all.” And yes, I would reject all those people if those things were clearly required ahead of time.

Stop talking about someone else and just accept, you WILL get rejected, in fact, you already are!

If Saint Peter lets you into heaven, perhaps you will see me and my Veritas class ring, if I’m accepted. My application is a good one; a panel of admission officers who want me won’t let another subject test stop them. Thanks for your time though.

Hahaha. Too bad all you write is not true

Are you Bill Gates? Are you Obama’s daughter? No.

Besides, even being the daughter of someone as awesome as Obama would not get them into college automatically. And since when was Physics required for Harvard? She could take some other class. None of your comparisons make sense.

Pride is a deadly sin. Have fun in H-- and by H I don’t mean Harvard or Heaven.

^Great post adchang :)

I hope in your hearts you are all sorry. I apologize for any inappropriate provocation I have caused you. This thread has ended…later.

whoops, must of read that somewhere else :x
well, i do not have any preference for 3 (since i sent in 2), so seeing that they didn’t recommend three makes me feel better
i think it was another school that “recommended” 3. sorry for the wrong fact x.x

GAH! HOMER314 is here too!!! Love this nutter, so entertaining!!!
