How much does Notre Dame look at your SAT II, I got a 700 on US History, 610 on Math IIC, and 590 on Physics. I cant say I am happy with these scores. Should I try getting them with held, or is it that big of a deal. On my application I am applying for Business, if that makes a difference.

SAT IIs can only help, not hurt. Don't worry about withholding them, ND is pretty adamant that they can only help.

Yeah, also, I don't believe you can withhold SATII scores if you send your SATs.

from what I remember, albiet this was how it was done only a couple of years ago...

SAT II scores were not automatically released if you sent SAT I's. Then again I chose the option of not releasing my scores until I saw the results...hmmmm....

SAT II's will not hurt you, but then again they aren't necessarily going to help that much from what I have heard over past couple of years. Sure they say you can send them, and I'm not advocating that you don't. But considering the fact that you can only get credit here in the modern languages with them, it kinda seems pretty obvious that they (First Year of Studies) don't consider them as good a judge of subject specific knowledge as AP or IB. And since Admissions office is looking for people who are going to do well in the academic climate, I don't see as them impacting that much...

So my two cents is it can't hurt to reinforce the picture that you want to give the office of you as a whole person and as a student. As far as stats looked at, they still look to the SAT I (V and M not W), GPA, rank, EC....

Anyone who knows otherwise speak up.
