I got a
790 Math II
760 US History
Are those scores competitive enough for the schools I am applying to?
Cal, Northwestern, UChicago, Notre Dame, and Ivies?

I know some of the Ivies used to require 3 subject tests, is this still the case or is 2 enough?

If you are curious, here are my other stats/resume

<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1385861-darling-chance-me.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1385861-darling-chance-me.html</a></p>

There is no college today that requires more than two SAT IIs.(The exception is that some schools require three from home-schooled applicants and those can be schools that normally do not even require SAT IIs of other applicants.) Georgetown and Johns Hopkins, which do not require SAT IIs, recommend three; otherwise there are not even colleges that recommend more than two. Your scores are competitive for all colleges that require or recommend SAT IIs. Be aware that UChicago neither requires nor recommends SAT IIs. It will consider them if submitted but they are not given any significant weight. Cal, Northwestern, and ND recommend but do not require SAT IIs.

If you’re planning to major in Engineering, Applied Math/Science, Med, and maybe Business, 3 Subj SATs will help far more than two. A 770+ on Bio/Chem SAT would definitely weigh more than your 760 on History, although it does reflect subject diversity (unless you are applying to law, etc).

Those scores are fine for the schools you mentioned (don’t bother retaking if that’s what you are asking) and check with each school you are applying to you see exactly what they require. Be aware that many schools will require you to take language classes unless you get a certain minimal score on a language SATII or AP Exam or can place out of their exam. If engineering or a science major was on your radar, you might want an SATII in those areas - otherwise, don’t bother.
