I'm going to be taking Spanish and French next year, and eventually I will be taking AP Language and AP Literature for both French and Spanish. If I take the AP exam for these tests, should I also take the SAT II for these languages to prove my ability? I'll also be self studying Latin and Modern Greek. Are there any standardized tests for these subjects?

Well why not? It wouldn't hurt you to have SAT IIs and if you are already doing the AP exams it requires very little extra work.

The only exception I could think of is if you plan to major in engineering or similar. Then you would be better to concentrate your attentions on math or science SATs with maybe just one language one. It's also not that advisable to have all your SAT IIs in languages. Some schools even ask that they are in different subject areas.

Doing well on the AP exam for Spanish and French will help you in admissions, and even give you some credit or advanced placement at schools, but it doesn't substitute for the SAT II required by many schools. Please read the admissions pages for the schools that interest you, and make a list of all their requirements. You may need one, two, or three SAT IIs. You may change your college list depending on the testing required.

By the time you get the scores for your APs, it will be July and the next test dates aren't until September. If you are continuing with the language, take the SATII as late in senior year as possible - September or October for ED, November for RD. (Again, check admission pages for each school. ) If you are taking a break from the language after junior year, sign up for the May or June SATII.
