of course there are cases like that.
why don’t you apply early, then tell them that you will take the november test. the application asks for the test you took and the tests you are planning to take. if all your other stuff are good, then they shouldn’t reject you right off.

There is absolutely no advantage of applying early if you can’t get your act together by the deadline. Submitting a strong application is much more beneficial, than submitting an early one. And a strong application almost always implies great SAT II scores.

act together? what does that have to do with it? or do you mean that if you submit the act they probably won’t care about your SAT II’s?
Yeah i see the point that it makes your application look stronger, but applying rd isn’t an option for me, and there is no way i can take the satII’s in time…
So if i still apply am I automatically at the bottom of the pile because of a lack of SAT II’s?

greatone1, you should be aware that Stanford is known for outright denying a large fraction of its early applicants, unlike most schools that defer most applicants to the regular round. So if you don’t have a strong app at this point, (and unless you come from an economically disadvantaged background it’s hard to see how you can have a strong app when you lack SAT IIs unless you have a strong hook), I would say you would be well advised not to apply early.

“getting your act together” means having everything you need to have in the best shape possible. It has nothing to do with ACT test (which does not replace the need for SAT IIs)

Why is RD not an option for you???

Yes, pretty much so.
