Sat Ii

The admissions website says that I need to take two SAT II's in different areas... I already registered for Math I but then only now saw that Math I isnt accepted anymore. My admission ticket says that I can change the subjects I am taking, but I am confused as to what to do, since I am retaking SAT I in December and cant even take Math II seperately as the admissions website says all tests must be completed by December... Any way out? :(

Just because you signed up for an SATII, doesn't mean that you HAVE to take it. You can change it on your SAT date! You know that the SATII's are given in one big packet--the book that you are given is full of all the tests (except language w/ listening), so you can easily change or add or even take out an SATII test you signed up for.

I didnt know that! I knew that the papers were given together, but I thought that they would give only the subjects I applied for... As for adding a subject, the maximum is 3 subjects per testing date right? So I might be able to change Maths I to a Maths II? What about the admission ticket? Do I need to ask for a change there? Thanks in advance!

No, you do not, in fact you don't need to inform anyone about anything you do regarding your SAT IIs; it's all done automatically. Changing subjects (so long as it's not involving a listening test) requires no paperwork, you just do the different test; while taking more tests than you signed up for is also possible, you'll just be billed online later for the extra test. You can also take less tests than you signed up for. Incidentally, I'm an international student at Cal, so if you have any specific questions re: the application process, just PM me.

YOu can take any subject test that is offered that day, with the exception of Language + listening since they need headphone space. CB doesn't care. You can also take more tests than you register for -- CB will just send you a bill for the additional tests.

Hey,

Thanks a lot! Does that mean I can take more than 3 tests? Thanks!!

Sorry, only 3 tests. They only will proctor 3 different tests at a maximum per testing day.
