SAT IIs at the end of senior year?

Do people bother taking them? For example, I'll be taking AP bio senior year, thus I'll probably be able to score pretty well on the SAT II in the case that I take it... would it be a good idea for placement in college, or will my AP scores serve that purpose?

Unless the school specifically says that it uses SAT II for placement (for example, some schools use Math or Language SAT II's for placement), your AP score should be sufficient.

Of course, when in doubt, call admissions and ask about their policy. (It's easy now that there's only one school involved!)

SAT II's are usually used for admissions / course placement (don't rely too much on this). Most competitive colleges have their own placement exam for certain subjects. Your AP exam score can help you place out of a credited course. There's a subtle difference between the two.
