I'm trying to decide whether I should take any sat 2's this June...thing is, my schedule is packed.... I really have to work on the SAT's in May, and then have other sorts of random crap. So I don't know how much time I would have to study.(is that really diffucult to get 800s? for ex. in Bio, Chem, Literature, math iic 2...)--- would it look bad if I took it this june and did badly?

Seeing that you mentioned a lot of the math/science SAT II's, you are probably oriented that way or maybe I'm wrong lol. Anyways, to get a 800 is not that hard on some exams, seeing that they have a generous curve (such as bio chem math 2). Besides, you can just retake them I think and the college will only look at the highest (someone correct me on this).

thanks! does anyone know for sure if colleges will only look at the highest?

They will probably only consider the highest, but they'll still see the old score on the score report. An applicant with only an 800 will probably be better received than one with an 800 and a 600 on the same exam.

If you know you won't do well, don't take them. Or take one or two, but if you leave the test center and KNOW you didn't get the score you want then cancel your scores. The experience of just taking the test will help for next time.

Not necessarily. The first score could be due to an external factor, such as illness or something. Admissions officers take that into account. Since they cannot know all the circumstances that surrounded you taking the test, they only look at the highest scores. However, several retakes may hurt you.

Even if they got a 400 on Spanish and an 800 on Biology on the same day?
