SAT II's??Do I need them??

I haven't come across a school I'm interested in that requires them, so should I just not take them? Or does it look better if I did even though I don't need them?

I probably will take them just in case I want to apply somewhere on a split-second decision and I need them, but I was just wondering.

just take a couple. They are not that hard. If you are taking any AP classes, just sign up for the SAT2 in that subject. You are studying forthe AP anyway.

Did you take the ACT? Some schools won’t require SAT IIs if you’ve taken the ACT.

What schools are you considering? Do any of them recommend taking the SAT II?

the fact that you are asking, don’t take. waste of $. some schools will use this for placement. but APs will suffice.

Most colleges neither require nor use them for admission and it would be a complete waste to take them if you are intending to apply only to such colleges. Go here for a list of colleges that require recommend or consider SAT IIs: [Compass: Admissions Requirements](<a href=“SAT Subject Test Requirements and Recommendations - Compass Education Group”>SAT Subject Test Requirements and Recommendations - Compass Education Group) Michigan should be added because it has gone to “considering” SAT IIs but for the most part if the schools to which you are intending to apply aren’t on the list then don’t waste the time and money.

BTW…

If you take them, it’s often easier to take them right around the time that you’re taking similar AP exams.
