SAT IIs for colleges that don't require them?

My ACT score is much better than my SAT I score, so normally I wouldn't send an SAT score report. However, is there any benefit to sending my SAT II scores to colleges that don't require them?
Scores:
Math II: 800
Bio E: 800
U.S. History: 800

Seeing as they're pretty good, I thought it might be advantageous - but then again, they might just toss them in the trash. Would I just be wasting my money to do this?

(Sorry if there's a thread about this already; I did a search and couldn't find any.)

Thank you in advance!

Some colleges don’t require them but take them into account, and I think that some colleges actually let you get credit for the related courses if you do well enough (sort of like AP exams).

I’m sure if whatever possible advantage it might confer will really outweigh the cost of sending them. Will my SAT subject tests really matter if I have a 36 ACT?

(What I’m really asking about, actually, is colleges that require SAT IIs only if you submit the SAT I, but waive them if you use the ACT instead.)

I’d say go ahead and send—triple 800s are nothing to sneeze at and will demonstrate your mastery of said subjects. For the record, what are your other scores (SAT and ACT)?

2280 SAT (750 CR/760 M/770 W) (<- I don’t plan on sending it, except for colleges to which I’m sending SATIIs)
36 ACT (34 E/36 all the rest w/ 8 on essay)

Only two colleges I’m applying to actually require SATIIs even if you submit the ACT.

I’m getting mixed results with this - you guys are saying I should send, but a couple people I know in real life have said that I shouldn’t. I’m really confused now.

Well, thanks for your help!

Look at this list: [Compass: Admissions Requirements](<a href=“SAT Subject Test Requirements and Recommendations - Compass Education Group”>SAT Subject Test Requirements and Recommendations - Compass Education Group)

For colleges where they are recommended, send the SAT IIs. All colleges will place emphasis on your higher ACT over the lower SAT.

I really wouldn’t say that your ACT scores are “much” better than your SAT scores. IMO, either test makes it very clear that you are an excellent standardized test taker, and the colleges are going to “get” this no matter what scores you send. I really don’t think that a double set of fabulous scores (which you have) is going to get you extra points as compared to a single set of fabulous scores, so save your money.

^Ok, thanks! That’s what I thought. And thanks for the list, kameron!

If anyone else has any more input, it would be greatly appreciated!
