I know that M.I.T. requires one to have taken one science SAT II and one math SAT II. Can anyone provide average scores of M.I.T. students on these exams? Did anyone here get into M.I.T. who's willing to share his/her scores?

The reason I ask is because I'm not sure if my biology score is good enough (730, took it in 9th grade.) I'm planning on retaking it in October, even though I'd basically have to relearn everything. I'm also planning on taking Math IIC in October as well.

go for an 800 IIC. your bio isnt THAT low...but i guess for MIT it can be raised. If you're intent on retaking it go as close to 800 as poss

I know someone who got in with a 600 on Physics as their one science SAT2. And I think she hd a 730 on IIC, which is very low.

You should look at the common data set for MIT to see for sure.

The MIT admission blog says that any score 700+ is fine and that they won't pay any real attention to your scores once you make that threshold.

Thanks for the link, but the data for the SAT IIs are not there.

No one seems to believe me when I tell them that when I'm reading an application, I just glance at the test scores to get a sense of them before moving on to the more important parts of the application -- that is, who you are.

The last Q and A:

A seven-hundred-anything is a fine score. Spend the time making your essays better instead of retaking the test. :-)

Sorry, I think MIT does not report them but other top colleges do, so I thought MIT would have them also. Somehow MIT does not have the percentage of people with a certain GPA that got admitted either.

Thanks for that! If it's true, then great; I'll have some awesome essays, so hopefully, I'll stand a chance of admission :).
