SAT II's IN JANUARY FOR REGULAR DECISION?

I took my SAT II's today, and would like to take them again... however I can't take them in December because I'm taking my final SAT I. A lot of the colleges I'm applying to want the SAT I and two SAT II's, or the ACT + writing. I don't know if I did that great today. If I send in my applications for regular decision (most of them have January due dates), and then have the SAT II scores from January rushed, will that be okay? Or should I just not even bother, hope for the best, and rely on my SAT/ACT scores...

I mean, if the schools get my SAT II scores in January, will that HELP my application if it's already there? Or will they not even look at it until those results are in, ultimately screwing my application over?

question seconded.

go to collegeboard.com and use their college search option to search for the colleges you are applying to. Then, look for what ur colleges say abt January SAT IIs. I'm taking SAt IIs in january, since most of my colleges accept January SAT IIs. (yeah same for me, SAT I in December, and I did horrible today, so cancelling it).

Most of the colleges I've looked at the offical policy of not taking january SATs, HOWEVER if you call up the admissions office you will almost always be told that its not a problem. Out of the 7 colleges I called about it, only Princeton (I think) didn't accept january SATs.

Forget about the feb. ACT though, maybe one or two places would take it.

wow. i had this same question.

Princeton does accept SAT II's from january but that's the latest one that they will accept.

but the jan test date is jan 24. predicting 2-3 weeks to get test results, then add on 1-2 weeks to send your scores. won't they be receiving that too late? they'll already be making decisions by then. what's the quickest way you can get scores to them? (and will you be allowed to see the results yourself before deciding whether to send it or not?)

umm...rushing score wud be fastest..i think.

According to the websites from all of the schools I am considering, the final SAT score that will be accepted is from "the January testing date". This seems to be consistent with most schools. They often include a clause though, stating that they cannot guarantee that scores from the final testing date will be received in time. I am also taking a few extra SAT subject tests in January and I plan to have the score reports rushed to be safe.

anyone confirm for UCs?

UCs final date is in December.

Don't know for HYPS. Does anyone know for Penn, Georgetown, or Cornell?

Guys, I told already to go to CB website....here's the link:

College Search - Harvard College - At a Glance

if a subject test is due by 1/1/09, will the December test scores come in time? i'm trying decide whether i want to take another test in december

I dont get it...If the due date is Feburary 1rst, how can you take a January SAT when the January SAT is held on the 22 and comes back 30 days later which is waaaaay past the 1rst of Febuary.

you just gotta call the individual schools you are applying to, that is the best way.

u have to send ur app in by the app deadline u can send the scores later bud
