SAT II's Oct 14th

Well, I took the SAT II in Math and US History on Saturday.

Here's what happened:

The proctor used a wall clock to keep time, putting it on the hour(say, 9:00) rather than the actual time. This was all fine and good. However, sometime during the test, the clock stopped with ten or fifteen minutes to go. I thought I was doing fine on timing. I looked up, then once or twice more, and I finally realized that something was wrong andt the proctor hadn't noticed. I called attention, and all she said was "That's ok.... Two minutes left."

I wanted to scream, but there wasn't much I could do at that time. I sped through the last few, skipping ones I couldn't get the answer to. Needless to say, that first test had a lot blank, so I probably didn't score too high.

Do I have a legitamite claim to complain...or is it our fault for not kepping track of watches/bringing watches? I don't know if there is a lot that we can do about it though.

Is it a good idea to take MAth again? The only time I can do it is December(right?), since I had the stupid idea of cramming all my testing these last few months before apps are due. Oct 28th, ACT, SAT I, Nov 4.

i'm not sure if this is something you can really complain about. i mean, you can't blame the proctor or anything. the only thing you can mb do is find other people who had the same issue during the test and try to act as a group, because if it's just you then you're out of luck.

Is there supposed to be a clock that the test takers can see? Because i was surprised that there wasnt one in the room i took my chem SAT in.

my advice is: find people and talk with ur high school principal... even better, tell ur parents to talk to her, and the principal will know what to do..... u actually paid for the test, make yourslef be heard!!!!!!!! u have the student power on you!

good luck

first of all..... u didn't have to tell the proctor..... u just had extra time!!!! why did u do that? against urself and ur classmates!
