SAT IIs only for placement?

So I got a 720 on the US History SAT II, and a 710 on the Math Level I. On the SAT I, I got 710 CR, 680 Writing, 670 Math. I think I can get those all up 20-30 points, but if I'm applying ED, there's only one SAT test date before the deadline. Should I retake the SAT I, or SAT IIs? I've heard that the SAT IIs aren't even used for admissions, but just for placement, does anyone know if that's true?

Another factor in this decision could be my ACT score, which I can send instead of the SAT I. I got a 34 on that, and based on practice tests, when I retake it in the fall I stand a chance at a 35. Thanks!

Yeah, you're right. SAT II's are mainly for course placement.

SAT2's are not used in admissions decisions, but you do need them to enroll.

They aren't used in admissions, but they are needed to enroll . . . so does that mean I could applly ED before taking them and then send the scores to them later?
