SAT II's or No SAT II's?

I know that USC says that it does not require SAT II’s, but it “higly reccomends” it (in which case you should do it). I was wondering about a few things:

What is the maximum amount of tests that you can put down? Is there a minimum (can there be only one sat ii?)

UC’s dont consider Math IC as a legitamite SAT II test anymore, but USC doesnt. Does that I mean I can take the SAT II MATH IC?

What would be your advice in terms of the cut off scores for the SAT II? What scores would help my admission chance and what would be considered hurting it/weakening it (or not include it at all?)?

In the past, most colleges have recommended the writing, math, and a test of your choice. Obviously there is no more writing test. I highly recommend taking the Math IIc if you've taken precalculus. If you haven't, the Math Ic would be fine. I would also suggest taking two or more choice tests. Perhaps a science and maybe a history/language test.

As for the scores, sadly you cannot choose which SAT II scores you want sent; you can either send all or send none. I'd say try hard to shoot for 600 or above.
