SAT IIs vs IB

I know that majority of people here are American school system orianted. However, probably all of you know IB, so do you think that Ivy League schools would consider an applicant in case of high IB grade but low SATs or with no subject tests?
My question is hypothetical and I haven't yet had any experience in the areas mentioned above.
Thanks.

if you can handle the work, do IB and do it well. you need to take two sat subject tests to apply to harvard. I’m not entirely sure if they’ll accept low sat scores over good IB scores. I doubt it, but who knows. I honestly can’t think of a situation where you have really good IB scores and you’re sat scores arent good. it depends on how low you’re talkin.

I am going to say an IB diploma score is not going to be enough to get a pass from a good school. Not sure when you will take your exams but US students don’t finish taking tests until May of their senior year to finish the program. Ivy league schools decide back in the fall and early winter who they were taking. They use SAT and gpa to determine which students to take since the only IB information would be the projected IB grade which is often times not correct. A bad SAT is going to send a red flag.

Havard requires atleast 3 7’s on a HL test to get advance standing. It looks like you either get no credit or a full year depending on if you get all 7’s. Get a 6 on one of the three HLs and you don’t get anything from what I can tell from their posted information.

If you are able to get 3 7’s on you HL IB tests you should be able to pull a good SAT.
