SAT II's...

The Columbia app only has room for two SAT II's. Do I have to put my scores somewhere or will they just see my entire score report and know my other scores?

I was also wondering how important SAT II's are for admissions. I'm applying to SEAS and got 800's on Math IIC, Chem and Physics. My SAT I is not great (2180 and 720 Math). Is that enough to get me in?

I guess I should also tell you that I'm an asian kid from NJ which really doesn't help. EC's are nothing amazing, but I am in the Columbia SHP among other science stuff. What do you think?

BTW congrats to those who got in already

Columbia only looks at your top two SAT II's. And regardless, when you send your SAT scores through collegeboard, they will have everything you've ever taken under the collegeboard company. In terms of the numbers, yeah they're good. To get in however relies on many other factors besides numbers. And like you said, the asianess doesn't help (I know, I'm asian). I have no idea what the SHP is, but sounds good.

Lastly, congrats on the 800 on Math IIc, That's a hard one.

Hey what should i do... my SAT IIs suck! I really want to get into columbia and my Spanish SAT II is 800 but my other one, US history is 670... i dont know what to so should i retake? Im Latin American (but also US citizen... have never lived in the States... does this help or hurt my spanish score?) HELP!!

Thanks for the help yapsuper.

a_nicte... technically? it shouldn't help or hinder the impact on the Spanish Sat II. Stop worrying on the 800, its fine. Where are u applying to? If SEAS, I suggest you take the math, chem, or physics, because those are required. Otherwise if you're applying to CC, then take whatever you feel you'll do good in. Retaking an SAT II is rarely a good choice simply because you normally take an SAT II after you've taken that course. Then again, if if you have an amazing application besides the SAT II, I wouldn't worry too much about the 670.

Tiger, no problem. My pleasure.

Good luck to both of you.

thank you so much... ive been really nercous about it just because i didnt even know what sat IIS were until about 3 months ago... the price of living in paradise!
