SAT IIs

I'm a sophomore and I registered to take two sat two tests in June. I was just wondering if I happen to do poorly on one of them, do I still have to send it in? Thanks~

Well, if you feel like you did very poorly, just ask the proctor to shred your test, and your score doesn’t get sent.

If you used any of the four free slots for colleges - where the scores are sent immediately - then they will be sent unless you cancel your scores. But beware that if your SAT is on Saturday, you can request the scores to be cancelled up until Wednesday.

If you haven’t used any of the four score report slots, then it’s no problem. Your results will be out in 2 weeks and a half on your collegeboard profile. You can send the scores if you’re satisfied with them, or if you’re not satisfied you can forget they exist. You’re not obliged to send scores anywhere unless the schools you’re applying to require to send ALL test scores.

As per above, you don’t have to send all of them due to score choice.

For a list of colleges and their score choice policies see here. Keep in mind this was from 2012, so things may have changed, but for the most part it should be accurate. Call them up if you aren’t sure. https://professionals.collegeboard.com/profdownload/sat-score-use-practices-list.pdf

On a side note, have faith in yourself. If you aren’t confident in that test subject, you could always change it to something you’re more comfortable with. Good luck!

If you don’t mind spending extra fees to send scores in later, then just wait. Like the above said, you don’t have to send scores in right away.
