SAT's II's are recommended but not required... so does that mean that my chances of being accepted will be significantly lower if i DON'T send them my SAT'II's ?

Depends. Are you going to apply as Engineering major? Does it say that the college “strongly” urges you to do so? I was in your predicament a few months ago when I found out that the UC’s recommended the SAT II’s for Engineering major even though it was not mandatory. People kept saying you should still take it because they want it anyway. I am going to take it in November and get my scores rushed for some universities.

It depends on the competitiveness of the school. Stanford also only recommend SAT2 but 95% of admitted student did submit SAT2.

My attitude is that if they recommend it, you should do it. So many colleges are so competitive these days so any edge you can get will help you.

Definitely take. If the school asks for all scores and you aren’t very confident…then think about it. Otherwise, take it.

But also, it’s likely that these schools will take the ACT in lieu of SAT2s. That might be an easier scenario than punching out 2 subject tests.
